Our Methodology
Dixon Motivational Management’s method of step-by-step behavioral modification translates into productive habits and improved quality. In short, we focus on results for our clients. The key to our success is in the methods we use to:
- Increase retention of the concepts being learned.
- Increase the application of concepts learned.
- Affect positive behavior modifications.
Increasing Retention
We use two basic techniques to increase retention of information: Repetitive and Multi-Sensory Learning. National studies indicate that the average person when exposed to a new idea once will only retain 10% or less of that idea long term. Using repetitive and multi-sensory learning in tandem increases long-term retention to as much as 68%.
Increasing Application
Once a week each participant will spend 1.5 hours in a workshop taught in the “Socratic - Discussion” method. Here they will become involved in group dynamics and explore how to apply these skills into each workday. Our workshop facilitators are trained to help each participant apply the concepts and hand-tailor each lesson to their individual needs.
Behavior Modification
Our first step is to lead each participant in identifying and evaluating his/her personal attitudes, behaviors and strengths. Next, we assist them in establishing personal and organizational goals that will improve their behavior, attitude and the quality of their production. Goal setting aids are included to give each participant a positive experience in setting and achieving challenging goals.
